Peter McCreanor is the founder and CEO of Tribe Infrastructure Group. In this role, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the business and deal execution.
Since Tribe’s establishment as a boutique advisory firm, Peter has counselled a broad range of clients including global investment banks, pension funds, private equity, and government entities on major infrastructure transactions in the Middle East, Australia and Asia. He has been instrumental in establishing Tribe’s development arm in Australia, including leading the bid to procure the AUD 400 million East Rockingham Resource Recovery Facility in 2017.
Prior to establishing Tribe, Peter served at the Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) as the CEO of the Macquarie-led ZonesCorp Infrastructure Fund, a co-investment fund with the Government of Abu Dhabi, established for the development of industrial city assets under one of the region’s first public private partnership schemes. His 25 years’ experience also includes other senior roles with Macquarie and Lend Lease in Australia, Asia, and the Middle East.
Peter holds an honours degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
James Cook is an Executive Director at Tribe Infrastructure Group and Head of Tribe Advisory. He is responsible for growing and developing Tribe’s Advisory business, including fostering enduring client relationships and overseeing active advisory mandates.
At Tribe, James has brought his significant expertise to a number of notable transactions, including acting as financial advisor to the sponsors for an 1,800 MW CCGT IPP in the Northern Emirates, advisor to the sponsors of the UAE’s first project financed Waste to Energy facility, and advisor to a UAE Government Entity for a USD 800 million IPP.
Prior to joining Tribe, James was a project director at the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) where he was involved in a number of greenfield power and water development projects including the USD 1 billion Abu Dhabi Waste to Energy project. Before which, James was an Associate Director at Ernst & Young in Abu Dhabi within the infrastructure and project finance team. He has previously also served as a commercial manager at United Utilities PLC in the UK, focused on the development of public private partnership projects in the water, wastewater, and solid waste sectors.
James holds a BSc with honours in Environmental Technology, a MEng (distinction) in Environmental Engineering and Project Management, and a post graduate diploma in Finance from the London School of Business and Finance.
Ed Nicholas is an Executive Director at Tribe Infrastructure Group and heads the company’s Development arm as well as its operations in Australia. He is responsible for identifying early-stage projects for co-investment, focusing on the Australian waste to energy sector, and leads the company’s joint venture with Masdar.
Prior to joining Tribe in early 2016, he worked with Mubadala Investment Company for eight years, where he served as the General Counsel, Industry. He has a strong background in emerging markets, having led numerous multi-billion dollar M&A, project finance and joint venture transactions across Europe, the MENA region, and South East Asia for Mubadala. Prior to this, Ed held senior legal roles with BlueScope Steel (Port Kembla, Australia), DFDL Mekong (Phnom Penh, Cambodia) and Clayton Utz (Sydney, Australia).
Ed holds a BA in French and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), both from the University of Sydney, and is admitted to practice as a Solicitor in the State of New South Wales, Australia.
Christina joined Tribe in late 2020 after twelve years in the United Arab Emirates, including four years with Mubadala Investment Company, where she supported the Aerospace, Renewables and ICT platform. Christina has over fifteen years of experience, including advising and leading on significant cross border, multi-jurisdictional transactions in the Middle East, Europe and the U.S.
She has a strong background in greenfield project development and project financing, and also brings experience in M&A and private equity, particularly in the utilities, technology and aviation sectors. Prior to Mubadala, Christina held legal roles at US firm Vinson & Elkins and magic circle firm, Allen & Overy.
Christina holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), both from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. She was admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2005.
Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in the waste and renewable energy industries in the USA, Europe, Asia and Australia. His expertise is in the development and construction of large waste infrastructure projects and has successfully developed and constructed several large Waste to Energy projects in Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining Tribe he was in senior management roles, including M&A, strategy and operations, with leading waste and construction companies such as Veolia, Brambles, Remondis and Leightons.
Andrew has Bachelors of Science (Chemistry) and Civil Engineering (Hons) from the University Of Sydney, a masters degree in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Fadi is a director with Tribe based in the UAE. During his time with Tribe, Fadi has led numerous transactions across the GCC, most recently advising the Oman, Jordan and Zayed City School PPPs, in addition to leading the deal team advising DGCL on the procurement of the Diriyah Gate District Cooling project. Fadi is also active in the M&A space, and has recently advised on a number of M&A transactions in the renewables and energy efficiency sectors.
Fadi joined Tribe after a two-year placement on the infrastructure private equity team of Arqaam Capital in Dubai preceded by over three years on the infrastructure and utilities team with Macquarie Capital. Prior to joining Macquarie, Fadi worked in the Corporate Finance Division of BNP Paribas in Paris. Fadi’s experiences across both the buy-side and the sell-side provide him with a unique understanding of the regional infrastructure space and market dynamics.
Fadi holds a MSc in Management from the ESSEC Business School in Paris, in addition to a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the American University of Beirut.
Nicolas Jarrosson is a director with Tribe. His recent transactions at Tribe include the financial advisory to a consortium of international developers for the non-recourse financing of their 1,800MW gas-fired power plant project in the UAE. Nico has also recently advised Veolia on the project debt financing for its bids for Shuqaiq IWP and Jeddah ISTP (KSA) as well as Taweelah IWP (UAE).
Prior to joining Tribe, Nicolas led a strategic review of the Abu Dhabi and Northern Emirates power and water sector for the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA). Prior to his work at EAA, Nicolas was a senior executive at TAQA responsible for the management of Abu Dhabi’s strategic shareholding in eight power and water plants. Prior to this Nicolas spent five years at Mubadala in the utilities team where he participated in the management of its shareholding in regional power and water assets as well as bids and business development activities to increase its utilities portfolio. Prior to Mubadala, Nicolas gained project and structured finance experience at Siemens Financial Services (Germany) and BNP Paribas (Bahrain).
Nicolas holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD, a master’s degree in Corporate and Markets Finance from Grenoble University (France) as well as a bachelor’s degree from ESSCA business school (France).
Chris is a Director with Tribe based between London and the UAE. Prior to Tribe, Chris held roles in prominent institutions on both the debt and equity side such as Engie, AMEA Power, HSBC and most recently as a Director in the Power & Advisory team of Mizuho one of the most active lenders in the GCC infrastructure space.
Chris is a Structured Finance specialist with extensive experience of large-scale Project Finance deals in the Energy/Infrastructure/Oil&Gas/Petrochemicals sectors across the EMEA region, acting as developer/investor, lender and government advisor.
Recent transactions have included acting in a lending and advisory capacity to various solar PV, HVDC transmission, water desalination and wastewater treatment projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.
Chris is a CFA charterholder and graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Mathematics and French.
Peter is a Director at Tribe having joined in summer 2023. He is an infrastructure finance specialist with a focus on large social infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining Tribe, Peter spent five years at KPMG and was latterly a director at a boutique infrastructure advisory firm in Edinburgh, UK where he spent 16 years. His experience on PPPs includes PFI, LIFT, PPP, NPD and Building Schools for the Future. He led financial advice to the NHS on the new National Centre for the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, New Orkney Hospital and multiple Health Centre and Mental Health facility bundles. In the education sphere he led financial advice to multiple primary and secondary school bundles and latterly procurements through the hub structure.
He has worked through all project phases from feasibility to financial close, construction, operations and handback, in addition to advising on contractual changes, benchmarking and inflation adjustments.
On grant-funded infrastructure, Peter has provided financial, economic and commercial advice on City Deals, Towns Fund, Future High Street Fund and Levelling Up in the UK.
Peter holds a BA Hons in Politics (with Finance) from the University of Strathclyde. He qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor from the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 2002 and achieved the Investment Management Certificate in 2007.
Peter sits on the Board of Housing Association in East Lothian, Scotland and is a Director of their Facilities Management subsidiary. He also sits on the Board of Social and Health Care Training Provider.
Nick Potisomporn is a Director at Tribe and brings a blend of lead sponsor, investor, asset owner and investment banking experience to his role in our Advisory team. Nick’s track record includes senior execution roles in the transport, social and utilities infrastructure sectors in Australia and Saudi Arabia including the Saudi Aramco Desulfurisation BOOT Project (KSA), TBC Schools Wave 2 PPP (KSA), West Gate Tunnel PPP (Aus), North East Link PPP (Aus) and Cross River Rail PPP (Aus).
Prior to joining Tribe, Nick held roles at Vision Invest, Plenary, RBC Capital and Pacific Hydro.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
Senior Vice President
Justin Chan is a Senior Vice President with Tribe based out of our Manila office. As a member of Tribe’s advisory practice, Justin most recently led a comprehensive restructuring exercise in the Philippines involving the successful senior debt refinancing and subsequent equity sale of the 25MW Lake Mainit and 33.5MW Bulanog Batang Hydroelectric Power Projects.
He has advised a broad range of clients in the renewable energy and utilities space in Asia and the Middle East, notably having played a key role in helping the consortium behind the development of the AUD 400 million East Rockingham Resource Recovery Facility in Western Australia achieve financial close.
Prior to joining Tribe, he worked in the infrastructure group of Macquarie Capital, where he advised on a number of landmark transport infrastructure projects including the Mactan Cebu International Airport Expansion, the Cavite Laguna Expressway and the LRT 1 Cavite Extension. Prior to that he was an associate in the corporate finance group at FTI Consulting, where he provided transaction advisory and asset management services to a number of private sector clients in the Philippines.
Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Sydney.
Udit is a core member of Tribe’s financial advisory team, with responsibility for the development and supervision of complex financial models. Udit is highly skilled in MS Excel and VBA, and has undertaken modelling assignments for multi billion dollar projects and transactions.
Prior to joining Tribe, Udit formed part of the core KPMG transaction advisory team specializing in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory for private equities and strategic corporates in India for over 5 years.
Udit is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has audited multiple NYSE and NSE listed companies.
Udit also holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree with Honours from the University of Delhi.
Bachir is a Senior Manager with Tribe and is a key member of Tribe’s Advisory team focused on transaction execution. He is a highly skilled financial modeler and transaction executive with experience working as an asset owner and financial advisor. He has built and audited financial models in various contexts such as M&A transactions, greenfield project financing, impairment tests and purchase price negotiations.
Bachir’s recent transactions have included water desalination, renewable energy, and social infrastructure projects located in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Morocco.
Prior to joining Tribe, Bachir was part of the Project Finance and M&A team of Engie, where he acted as Financial Advisor for greenfield, brownfield and M&A transactions in the Middle East North Africa region, supporting projects development from non-binding stage to financial close. Prior to Engie, he was employed by Deloitte’s project finance practice in Paris.
Bachir holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Economics from EDHEC Business School in France.
Vivek is a Manager with Tribe based between London and the UAE. Vivek is a Structured Finance specialist with extensive experience across large-scale Project Finance deals in the Infrastructure and utilities sectors across the GCC and South Asia , acting as developer and government advisor.
Recent transactions include advising on to various solar PV, water desalination and social infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Prior to Tribe, Vivek worked as an Associate at Synergy Consulting one of the most active finance advisors in the GCC infrastructure space.
Vivek has a MBA from IIM Bangalore, India and an Electrical Engineer from IIT Gandhinagar, India.
Vasudha is a Manager with Tribe. Prior to joining Tribe, she was part of the transaction advisory team with PwC India, where she was directly involved in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory across India. She was involved in landmark deals, aggregating in excess of USD 300m, for leading Indian conglomerates and multinationals with a focus on infrastructure, renewable energy and Telecoms.
Ashish is an Assistant Manager with Tribe and is a core member of Tribe’s financial modelling team, with responsibility for the development of complex financial models across our transactions.
Prior to joining Tribe, Ashish spent 2 years at Synergy Consulting where he was a part of various PPP/ Project Finance transactions where his main responsibility was building and operating financial models, and reviewing project and financing documents. Prior to his placement at Synergy, Ashish worked for Mazars within their Infrastructure & Energy team (Corality), where his major responsibilities included building complex financial models for PPP and other infrastructure projects, audit of financial models, and development of bespoke VBA functionalities and add-ins.
Ashish holds an MBA from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi and a bachelor’s in engineering in Computer Science from Nirma University, Ahmedabad.
Amaury is an Assistant Manager with Tribe based out of our Abu Dhabi office. He is a core member of Tribe’s advisory and financial modelling team, with responsibility for the development of complex bespoke financial models.
Prior to joining Tribe, he was part of Finergreen’s Dubai office, covering the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia, where he was directly involved in numerous renewable energy projects across these regions. He has been advising developers, IPPs and conglomerates on tenders, debt fundraisings and M&A transactions.
Amaury holds a MSc in Economics from ISCTE (Lisbon, Portugal), a Masters in Management from SWUFE (Chengdu, China) and a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences and Business Administration from the University Paul Valery (Montpellier, France).
Siddharth is an Analyst at Tribe sitting on the advisory team in Abu Dhabi. He is responsible for building and running financial models and other key deliverables throughout the deal cycle.
Prior to joining Tribe, Siddharth gained valuable experience in project finance, financial modelling and valuation across various sectors through his engagements at Brigade Group, a large real estate developer based in India; and TresVista, a firm that provides high-end financial services to private equity funds and investment banking clients.
Siddharth holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree with a dual specialization in Finance and International Business from Christ University, Bangalore
Shaneel is an analyst at Tribe and is a core member of Tribe’s financial modelling team, with responsibility for the development of complex financial models. He is also responsible for other key deliverables throughout the deal cycle.
Prior to joining Tribe, Shaneel was part of the Energy, Resources and Infrastructure division at BNP Paribas in Paris where he gained valuable experience in project finance. Prior to his experience at BNP Paribas, Shaneel was an analyst at MCB Capital Markets Ltd, a corporate finance advisory firm based in Mauritius.
Shaneel holds a Bachelors of Commerce Honours degree (First Class) in Economics from University of Cape Town and a Masters in International Finance degree from HEC Paris. He has also cleared CFA Level 2.”
Slava joined Tribe in December 2022 and is an analyst on Tribe’s advisory team. He is a core member of Tribe’s financial modelling team, with the responsibility of developing complex financial models
Prior to joining Tribe, Slava gained valuable experience in financial modelling and financial analysis in the largest Central Asian hospitality center in Uzbekistan (Samarkand) and financial modelling boutique in Moscow, Russia.
Slava is fluent in English and Russian.
Slava holds a Bachelors in Economics from the Higher School of Economics and a Masters in Finance degree from New Economics School.
Group Finance Manager
April holds the position of Group Finance Manager at Tribe and is responsible for statutory and management reporting across all group companies. April is also the Finance Officer for Tribe’s regulated financial services business authorised and supervised by the ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority.
April joined Tribe from Vena Energy (formerly Equis Energy), Asia’s largest IPP, in 2018 where she held the role of business controller responsible for the financial management of multiple group subsidiaries, including playing a key internal role during the landmark USD 5 billion trade sale of Equis Energy to Global Infrastructure Partners in 2017. Prior to Equis, April also held roles in Manila with JPMorgan Chase Bank and HSBC.
April holds a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
Reeta joined Tribe in 2019 as Office Manager following a 12 year stint with the Macquarie Group in Macquarie’s Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) team in Abu Dhabi. She plays a key role across the group, particularly with Tribe’s interface to ADGM through its regulated financial services business.
Reeta has a strong background with over 20 years’ experience in office management and executive assistant roles, supporting senior leaders in the infrastructure funds management and telecoms sectors in the UAE and India.
Reeta holds Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law degrees from Gujarat University, India.
