Peter McCreanor

Group CEO

Peter McCreanor is the founder and CEO of Tribe Infrastructure Group. In this role, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the business and deal execution.

Since Tribe’s establishment as a boutique advisory firm, Peter has counselled a broad range of clients including global investment banks, pension funds, private equity, and government entities on major infrastructure transactions in the Middle East, Australia and Asia. He has been instrumental in establishing Tribe’s development arm in Australia, including leading the bid to procure the AUD 400 million East Rockingham Resource Recovery Facility in 2017.

Prior to establishing Tribe, Peter served at the Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) as the CEO of the Macquarie-led ZonesCorp Infrastructure Fund, a co-investment fund with the Government of Abu Dhabi, established for the development of industrial city assets under one of the region’s first public private partnership schemes. His 25 years’ experience also includes other senior roles with Macquarie and Lend Lease in Australia, Asia, and the Middle East.

Peter holds an honours degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia.

James Cook

James Cook is an Executive Director at Tribe Infrastructure Group and Head of Tribe Advisory. He is responsible for growing and developing Tribe’s Advisory business, including fostering enduring client relationships and overseeing active advisory mandates.

At Tribe, James has brought his significant expertise to a number of notable transactions, including acting as financial advisor to the sponsors for an 1,800 MW CCGT IPP in the Northern Emirates, advisor to the sponsors of the UAE’s first project financed Waste to Energy facility, and advisor to a UAE Government Entity for a USD 800 million IPP.

Prior to joining Tribe, James was a project director at the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) where he was involved in a number of greenfield power and water development projects including the USD 1 billion Abu Dhabi Waste to Energy project. Before which, James was an Associate Director at Ernst & Young in Abu Dhabi within the infrastructure and project finance team. He has previously also served as a commercial manager at United Utilities PLC in the UK, focused on the development of public private partnership projects in the water, wastewater, and solid waste sectors.

James holds a BSc with honours in Environmental Technology, a MEng (distinction) in Environmental Engineering and Project Management, and a post graduate diploma in Finance from the London School of Business and Finance.

Ed Nicholas

Ed Nicholas is an Executive Director at Tribe Infrastructure Group and heads the company’s Development arm as well as its operations in Australia. He is responsible for identifying early-stage projects for co-investment, focusing on the Australian waste to energy sector, and leads the company’s joint venture with Masdar.

Prior to joining Tribe in early 2016, he worked with Mubadala Investment Company for eight years, where he served as the General Counsel, Industry. He has a strong background in emerging markets, having led numerous multi-billion dollar M&A, project finance and joint venture transactions across Europe, the MENA region, and South East Asia for Mubadala. Prior to this, Ed held senior legal roles with BlueScope Steel (Port Kembla, Australia), DFDL Mekong (Phnom Penh, Cambodia) and Clayton Utz (Sydney, Australia).

Ed holds a BA in French and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), both from the University of Sydney, and is admitted to practice as a Solicitor in the State of New South Wales, Australia.

Christina Kersey

 Christina joined Tribe in late 2020 after twelve years in the United Arab Emirates, including four years with Mubadala Investment Company, where she supported the Aerospace, Renewables and ICT platform. Christina has over fifteen years of experience, including advising and leading on significant cross border, multi-jurisdictional transactions in the Middle East, Europe and the U.S.

She has a strong background in greenfield project development and project financing, and also brings experience in M&A and private equity, particularly in the utilities, technology and aviation sectors. Prior to Mubadala, Christina held legal roles at US firm Vinson & Elkins and magic circle firm, Allen & Overy.

Christina holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), both from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.  She was admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2005.

Andrew Smith

Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in the waste and renewable energy industries in the USA, Europe, Asia and Australia. His expertise is in the development and construction of large waste infrastructure projects and has successfully developed and constructed several large Waste to Energy projects in Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining Tribe he was in senior management roles, including M&A, strategy and operations, with leading waste and construction companies such as Veolia, Brambles, Remondis and Leightons.

Andrew has Bachelors of Science (Chemistry) and Civil Engineering (Hons) from the University Of Sydney, a masters degree in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Nicolas Jarrosson

Nicolas Jarrosson is a director with Tribe. His recent transactions at Tribe include Saudi and UAE non-recourse project finance as well as infrarastucture M&A.

His recent Financial Advisory include social infrastructure (Makkah and Jeddah Courthouse, Alansar Hospital PPP, Abu Dhabi university student accommodation PPP), transportation (Madinah BRT, Abu Dhabi road PPP). Nicolas has also extensive Middle-East experience in power (Aramco CoGen plant,  Hamriyah 1,800MW CCGT, Turkmenistan HVDC, Qiddiya), water desalination (Yanbu 4, Shuqaiq IWP, Taweelah RO), water transport (Rayis Rabigh IWTP) and wastewater (ISTP2, Jeddah Airport 2 ISTP).

Nicolas holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD, a master’s degree in Corporate and Markets Finance from Grenoble University (France) as well as a bachelor’s degree from ESSCA business school (France).

Chris Patt

Chris is a Director with Tribe based between London and the UAE. Prior to Tribe, Chris held roles in prominent institutions on both the debt and equity side such as Engie, AMEA Power, HSBC and most recently as a Director in the Power & Advisory team of Mizuho one of the most active lenders in the GCC infrastructure space.

Chris is a Structured Finance specialist with extensive experience of large-scale Project Finance deals in the Energy/Infrastructure/Oil&Gas/Petrochemicals sectors across the EMEA region, acting as developer/investor, lender and government advisor.

Recent transactions have included acting in a lending and advisory capacity to various solar PV, HVDC transmission, water desalination and wastewater treatment projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

Chris is a CFA charterholder and graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Mathematics and French.

Peter Ewart

Peter is an infrastructure finance specialist with a focus on large social infrastructure projects.

Prior to joining Tribe, Peter spent five years at KPMG and was latterly a director at a boutique infrastructure advisory firm in Edinburgh, UK where he spent 16 years.  His experience on PPPs includes PFI, LIFT, PPP, NPD and Building Schools for the Future. He led financial advice to the NHS on the new National Centre for the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, New Orkney Hospital and multiple Health Centre and Mental Health facility bundles. In the education sphere he led financial advice to multiple primary and secondary school bundles and latterly procurements through the hub structure.

On grant-funded infrastructure, Peter has provided financial, economic and commercial advice on City Deals, Towns Fund, Future High Street Fund and Levelling Up in the UK.

Peter holds a BA Hons in Politics (with Finance) from the University of Strathclyde. He qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor and achieved the Investment Management Certificate in 2007.

Nick Potisomporn

Nick Potisomporn is a Director at Tribe and brings a blend of lead sponsor, investor, asset owner and investment banking experience to his role in our Advisory team. Nick’s track record includes senior execution roles in the transport, social and utilities infrastructure sectors in Australia and Saudi Arabia including the Saudi Aramco Desulfurisation BOOT Project (KSA), TBC Schools Wave 2 PPP (KSA), West Gate Tunnel PPP (Aus), North East Link PPP (Aus) and Cross River Rail PPP (Aus).

Prior to joining Tribe, Nick held roles at Vision Invest, Plenary, RBC Capital and Pacific Hydro.

Justin Chan

Justin Chan is a Senior Vice President with Tribe based out of our Manila office. As a member of Tribe’s advisory practice, Justin most recently led a comprehensive restructuring exercise in the Philippines involving the successful senior debt refinancing and subsequent equity sale of the 25MW Lake Mainit and 33.5MW Bulanog Batang Hydroelectric Power Projects.

He has advised a broad range of clients in the renewable energy and utilities space in Asia and the Middle East, notably having played a key role in helping the consortium behind the development of the AUD 400 million East Rockingham Resource Recovery Facility in Western Australia achieve financial close.

Prior to joining Tribe, he worked in the infrastructure group of Macquarie Capital, where he advised on a number of landmark transport infrastructure projects including the Mactan Cebu International Airport Expansion, the Cavite Laguna Expressway and the LRT 1 Cavite Extension. Prior to that he was an associate in the corporate finance group at FTI Consulting, where he provided transaction advisory and asset management services to a number of private sector clients in the Philippines.

Udit Garg

Udit is a core member of Tribe’s financial advisory team, with responsibility for the development and supervision of complex financial models. Udit is highly skilled in MS Excel and VBA, and has undertaken modelling assignments for multi billion dollar projects and transactions.

Prior to joining Tribe, Udit formed part of the core KPMG transaction advisory team specializing in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory for private equities and strategic corporates in India for over 5 years.

Udit is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has audited multiple NYSE and NSE listed companies.

Prior to joining Tribe, Vasudha formed part of the core PwC transaction advisory team specializing in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory for private equities and strategic corporates in India

As part of the of deal advisory practice of PwC India, Vasudha was involved in landmark deals, aggregating in excess of USD 300m, for leading Indian conglomerates and International Companies with a focus on Infrastructure, Renewable energy and Telecom

Vasudha is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has audited multiple NSE listed companies

Ashish Sharma

Ashish joined Tribe in 2021 and is a core member of Tribe’s financial modelling team, with responsibility for the development of complex financial models from scratch. Ashish is highly skilled in MS Excel and VBA and has undertaken modelling assignments for various PPP projects and transactions.

Prior to joining Tribe, Ashish worked for nearly 2 years as a senior analyst at Synergy Consulting. He was a part of various IPP / IWP transactions where his main responsibility was to build and operate models, review project and financing documents. He has experience of working on Infrastructure projects in UAE, KSA, Indonesia and India.

Prior to joining Synergy, Ashish worked for ~2.5 years for Mazars within their Infrastructure & Energy team (Corality), where his major responsibilities included building complex financial models for PPP and other infrastructure projects, audit of financial model, and development of bespoke VBA functionalities and add-ins.

Prior to joining Tribe, Andrea formed part of the QInvest investment banking team specializing in M&A buy-side and sell-side transactions as well as ECM and DCM transactions for local corporates  and institutional investors in Qatar for over 6 years

As part of the investment banking experience in QInvest, Andrea was involved in landmark deals in Qatar with large corporates and institutional investors including Ooredoo, QTerminals, Qatar Foundation, Milaha and Helios Investment Partners across a multitude of sectors

Prior to joining QInvest, Andrea worked in Milan as a financial analyst for Motion Equity Partners, pan-European mid-market private equity fund, and for Rothschild in their industrial M&A team in Italy.

During his career, Giuseppe also earned experience in the Real Estate, Investment Banking and Private Equity advisory industries
