The Sharjah Waste to Energy Project (SW2E) was structured as a design, build, finance, operate and maintain PPP project for a 300,000 tonne per annum municipal solid waste to energy facility. The project is being co-developed by Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and Bee’ah (Sharjah Environmental Company), as the project developers and joint venture partners in the project company. They appointed CNIM the French waste to energy experts for the design and build in addition to the the long-term operations and maintenance of the facility.
